As bald as an eagle.
Concept:
(Truth/Facts): Eagle’s are not bald, but their feather’s natural colors give them the appearance that they
are bald.
Explanation/Discussion:
In the English language, Bald is derivative of the word piebald which is making a contrast between the eagle’s
dark body and it white head and tail feathers. Because of the contrast of color, the eagle appears to be bald.
